What We Do
Duk County Youth Association works across four focus areas in Juba and with our communities of origin. Each area connects volunteers, members, and partners for activities, ranging from learning and sponsorship to culture, sport, and community-led development.
Youth Empowerment
We invest in the next generation of leaders from Duk County and Juba through spaces where youth can participate in public service, and project planning.
Members participate by represent youth delegations in community forums, while ensuring their leadership remains accountable and inclusive.
Sponsorship
Cost of education such as tuition, uniforms and supplies are often out of reach for many families. When resources allow we support by directing sponsorships to students at every stage in primary and secondary.
We prioritise the most vulnerable, follow-up with schools, and report back to supporters so every contribution clearly strengthens education or skills.
Culture & Sports
Cultural activities like songs, dance, and commemorative events, help young people stay connected to Duk County and to one another while living in Juba and surrounding areas.
Sports leagues and tournaments offer an outlet for energy, build discipline as members stay connected to their communities.
Development Initiatives
We organise campaigns and partnerships to raise funds for development needs identified with communities. These include small-scale infrastructure that unlocks daily life.
Initiatives are discussed openly with members and partners to seek clear outcomes and so that development work has meaningful impact in the community.
